The Department of Psychiatric (Mental Health) Nursing, under experienced and dedicated faculty, focuses on rendering quality education to students. Our dedicated faculty members assist students in developing an in-depth understanding of theoretical principles of psychiatric nursing and gaining practical skills to function as professional psychiatric nurses. The department ensures quality assurance activities to promote mental health and prevent mental health problems among individuals, their families and communities as well and to support in rehabilitation of people with mental illness.

The Department of Community Health Nursing focuses on a wide range of activities for promoting health, preventing diseases and providing holistic care to individuals, families and communities in various setting such as homes, schools and health centres. Students get ample experience to take part in National Health Programmes and to have clinical practice in public health facilities like at Family Health Centres, Community Health Centres and Primary Health Centres.
